Sisters That Lock believes in providing excellent services for you, by ensuring you are educated about your hair and its care. In order to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that your appointment with Sisters That Lock is enjoyable, please adhere to the policies below.
Sisters that Lock reserves the right to update or modify this policy agreement including pricing structure and fees at any time.
POLICY HIGHLIGHTS (QUICK VIEW)
All deposits are non-refundable retainer fees that hold your appointment time.
48-hour notice required for any cancellations, changes, or reschedules.
Less than 48 hours = 50% of service cost due.
Same-day or no-show = retainer forfeited, and a new retainer is required to rebook.
Service changes (different style/service) are treated as cancellations.
BOOKING POLICY
All appointments must be scheduled online through the booking link.
Appointments will no longer be scheduled by:
text message
phone call
social media message
or during/after an appointment
Clients are responsible for booking appointments within the recommended maintenance timeframe to ensure proper pricing and service timing.
RETAINER FEE
A non-refundable and non-transferable retainer may be required to secure certain appointments. This policy exists to protect appointment times and ensure booking commitments are honored.
Beginning December, deposits will no longer be required for current clients booking standard maintenance appointments. Instead, a card on file will secure the appointment.
For new clients and transfer clients, a non-refundable deposit is still required before the first appointment can be confirmed. An invoice will be sent after booking, and the appointment will not be secured until payment is made.
All retainers are non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of reason.
CARD ON FILE POLICY
A valid card on file is required to reserve all appointments, regardless of client type.
Your card will not be automatically charged unless:
a cancellation fee applies
a no-show fee applies
or a balance remains unpaid
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are required prior to booking any locking service. The $52 consultation fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Clients must have freshly washed, fully dry hair as specified. Failure to follow instructions will result in cancellation and forfeiture of the consultation fee.
For Sisters That Lock clients, a consultation is required if it has been over 12 weeks since your last retightening. This is to quote accurately for pricing.
CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment time.
Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) will result in a cancellation fee of $21 charged to the card on file.
No-shows may be charged up to the full appointment cost, and future appointments may require prepayment or may be declined.
By booking, you authorize Sister’s That Lock LLC to charge the card on file in accordance with this policy.
MAINTENANCE WINDOW & PRICING
To maintain the health and structure of your locs, maintenance should be scheduled every 4-6 weeks.
Pricing is based on the time since your last appointment due to the additional work required:
4–6 weeks: Standard retie
7–8 weeks: Extended retie
9–11 weeks: Advanced retie
12+ weeks: May require transfer pricing or consultation

TRANSFER CLIENTS
Transfer clients (those whose locs were not installed by Sisters That Lock or who have not had a retightening within 4 months) are required to pay a non-refundable retainer fee prior to scheduling.
Please keep in mind that while we accept transfer clients, if you have loc extensions you will not be accepted.
TRAVEL FEES
Travel fees apply for mobile services outside the standard area. These must be paid in advance.
Travel fees are refundable only if cancellation occurs 24 hours or more in advance; otherwise, they are non-refundable.
SISTERLOCKS™
The total price for a Sisterlocks™ establishment varies based on hair length, density, scalp surface area, and overall hair condition.
At Sisters That Lock, the base rate starts at $725, but the final price is determined during your consultation after assessing your hair.
A minimum two-week waiting period is required after your consultation before your installation can be scheduled.
Please Note: Rates are subject to change; however, the quoted price at the end of your consultation is valid for 30 days. After 30 days, a new consultation will be required to reevaluate your hair.
The Follow-Up Visit must be scheduled three to four weeks after your establishment. Appointments scheduled five weeks or later after installation will be charged regular retightening rates.
For all appointments, clients are required to shampoo their hair within 24 hours before their scheduled visit.
A $210 non-refundable retainer fee is required to reserve your Sisterlocks™ establishment appointment and is due at the end of your consultation.
This retainer will be applied toward your total service cost.
PAYMENT
Accepted forms of payment include Cash, CashApp, Apple Pay, and major debit/credit cards.
Processing fees apply to all card payments, including charges made to your card on file. To avoid processing fees, you may pay with Cash, CashApp, or Apple Pay at your appointment.
AfterPay must be approved at least 5 days before your appointment. If not approved in advance, a different payment method will be required.
All balances must be paid in full at the time of service.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY CONSENT
We may photograph or record our work for documentation and marketing. By booking, you consent unless you notify us otherwise at booking or upon arrival.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all policies, including the non-refundable retainer and cancellation / rescheduling terms.
